around here somewhere, my friend said
last night while at the mall crowded
by people. There we found ourselves
going up and down escalators, floors,
cafes, shops, restaurants, boutiques.
All the convenience that we can find
by simply pointing fingers at a drawing
of squares, broken lines, symbols.
How complicated the way we make
ways, rooms, spaces, that we need
to see smaller. How to get there
without even getting there. Well,
in the first place, we never knew
what’s the first place we’re going.
We went where the foodcourt was,
tired and hungry of searching.
