La Niña

I.

Gray fog covering
green grass with
white tombstones.

Red rooftops stay.

II.

From a window, rain

as

if

dew-

drops

dripping

collecting

to the sides, then
edges
of the pane.

III.

Her fluid body coming from the blurred atmosphere pouring over the other side of the city. The rain and her timid face: collecting upon the asphalt, with dirt, mixing as mud, swallowed by canals, coursing back to rivers. Static noise without electricity. Fog upon the dry surface of glass. The tongue tasting freshness. Finally, petrichor.
